One home, many missions
Advocacy, consultancy and clean-energy projects, coherently under one roof.
The African Energy Advocacy Initiative works right across the energy spectrum: policy advocacy, energy and oil-and-gas consultancy, and on-the-ground clean-energy projects like solar lighting and efficient cookstoves that measurably improve safety, health and livelihoods for vulnerable communities. It is an unusually broad mandate: in one breath it speaks to ministries and industry, and in the next to a rural household choosing a cleaner stove. We were brought in to give all of that a single, coherent home: a brand and website that hold the policy, the consultancy and the grassroots impact together without any one of them feeling like an afterthought.
Most organisations do one thing; AEAI does several, for several very different audiences. A funder or government partner needs rigour, governance and credibility. A community partner needs warmth, clarity and proof that the work changes lives. The challenge was to build one home that serves both at once, institutional enough to be taken seriously in an energy-policy room and human enough to mean something in a village, then to make a sprawling, multi-mission organisation feel focused, legible and genuinely hopeful.
