A Nigerian team that builds for a global market
Swizel Technologies Limited has been building software from Abuja since 2019. Websites, web platforms, mobile apps and full ERP systems for distributors, real-estate groups, fintechs, schools, energy firms and sports businesses — in Nigeria, across Africa, and for clients who have never been here.
Being based in Abuja with colleagues in Cork, Sheffield and New York changes what gets built. The work is reviewed against what a client in London or New York will accept, and it is engineered for the conditions here: mid-range Android handsets, metered data, a network that drops. Software that is quick on a Nigerian connection is quick everywhere, and that is not a compromise — it is a discipline that makes the product better for everyone.
The local specifics are not extras we bolt on. Paystack, Flutterwave, Interswitch and Remita, with the settlement reconciliation that keeps the numbers honest when a webhook fails. VAT and withholding tax built in the way FIRS filing expects. NDPR-aware handling of customer data. Invoicing in Naira when that is what your accounts want.
And we stay. Launch day is the middle of the job — we host it, monitor it, market it and keep extending it. Nine in ten clients are still with us after the first release, which is the number we would want to be judged on.

How working with us goes
- Step 01
Meet, in person if you like
We are in Abuja. Come to the office, or we come to yours, or a call if that is simpler. No sales deck — we want to hear the problem.
- Step 02
A written scope and a fixed price
In Naira or in dollars, per stage, before anything starts. You see exactly what a stage buys and what it costs.
- Step 03
Build, launch, and stay
Fortnightly builds you can use, then launch, then maintenance, hosting and marketing from the same team that built it.

Questions Nigerian businesses ask
Where in Nigeria are you based?
Abuja — 2155 Peculiar Estate, Lokogoma, FCT. We work with clients across Lagos, Port Harcourt and the rest of the country, and with colleagues in Cork, Sheffield and New York, which is how a Nigerian build ends up meeting the standards of the markets our clients sell into.
Do you meet clients in person?
In Abuja, yes, and we prefer it for a first conversation — an hour in a room is worth three calls. For Lagos and elsewhere we travel for the kick-off and the significant milestones and run the rest remotely, which is how most of our Lagos work has gone.
Can we pay in Naira?
Yes. We quote and invoice in Naira for Nigerian businesses, or in dollars, pounds or euros where that suits your accounting better. Payment is staged against delivered work rather than taken up front.
How much does a website or app cost in Nigeria?
A serious business website is typically in the low hundreds of thousands of Naira; a web platform or a first mobile app is in the millions, quoted stage by stage so you commit to one stage at a time. What we will not do is quote a figure before understanding the work — the cheap quote you get without questions is the one that gets revised upwards halfway through.
Do you handle Nigerian payment gateways and tax?
Routinely. Paystack, Flutterwave, Interswitch, Remita and direct transfer, including the unglamorous parts — failed webhooks, duplicate charges, settlement reconciliation. On tax, we build VAT and withholding tax into the system the way FIRS filing expects rather than leaving your accountant to patch it in a spreadsheet.
Do you only work with Nigerian clients?
No — roughly half our work is for businesses outside Nigeria, in the UK, Ireland, the US, the EU and as far as Iceland. If you are outside Africa, our global delivery page explains how that runs.
